Hypatia project to promote science amongst girls, Feb 2018,
Open Days – University of Alcalá Regina Magalhães. ESR nr 4. “The open days of the University of Alcalá were days on which members of the general public were encouraged to visit the University of Alcalá and experience it first-hand. They were meant to help students to make decisions on what and where they would like to study, showing what the offers are. This way, students were able to compare universities and courses to see which would suit them the best. I was one of the student ambassadors on site to ensure the open days run smoothly, performing a physics demonstration about polarization, and answering the questions the students had about the university. “
Finesse ESR12 was invited to the 150th birthday anniversary of Marie Skłodowska-Curie’s, held on 8th Nov. 2017 in Paris.
STIL2018 (“salon des technologies et de l’innovation”) took place 2018 March 1st, at EPFL, Switzerland. It was the opportunity to open the laboratory to show the concept of distributed optical fibre sensors and its importance for our society.

In Germany, the Leibniz-Institut für Photonische Technologien (IPHT) communicated on their implication in ITN-FINESSE project.
In France, the French Optical society called SFO, has advertised the PhD positions of ITN-FINESSE, both on the internet and paper means.
UPVLC instigated a press release in 2016.
FBGS had a paragraph dedicated to ITN-FINESSE first training event in its monthly newsletter dated May 2017. This communication reached all FBGS customers through mailing diffusion.
